AAC-1 Toucan

After the fall of France in 1940 the Aero industry was taken over and used to produce aircraft for Germany. Amongst the types manufactured were the Fw 190, He 177 and Ju-52.

In 1945 the rebuilt Armee de l'Air  needed transport aircraft desperately. To augment the Dakotas supplied by the Americans  the  French rounded up abandoned Luftwaffe  Ju-52s and re-opened the production lines, renamed AAC-1 Toucan  post war, the aircraft  continued in production until 1947. It saw service in South East Asia.
